【摘要】:Thistestmethodisusedprimarilytodeterminetime-to-ignition,verticalflamespreadrate,andlateralflamespreadrateofmaterials,productsandassembliesinaverticalorientationwhenexposedtoagraduatedradiantheatflux.Optionally,thistestmethodissuitabletomeasuretheheatreleaserateandsmokedevelopmentrateofmaterials,productsandassembliesinaverticalorientationwhenexposedtoagraduatedradiantheatflux.Thistestmethodissuitabletotestmaterialsthathaveaplanarornearlyplanarexposedsurface.Thistestmethodisnotintendedtotestmaterialswithsurfacecracks,fissuresorholesexceeding8mminwidthor10mmindepth.Also,thetotalareaofsuchcracks,fissuresorholesatthesurfaceshallnotexceed30%oftheexposedsurfaceareaofthespecimen.1.1Thisfire-test-responsestandarddeterminesfirepropertiesrelatedtopilotedignitionofaverticallyorientedspecimenexposedtoanexternalgraduatedradiantheatfluxasshownin.Thistestmethodprovidesdatasuitableforcomparingtheperformanceofmaterials,whichareusedastheexposedsurfacesofwallsorotherverticallyorientatedproductsinconstructionapplications.Note1ThistestmethodhasbeenpreparedtocloselyfollowthetestprocedureofISO5658-4,howeverwithadditionalprovisionsforheatreleaseandsmokedevelopmentmeasurementsthatareoptional.1.2Thefirecharacteristicsdeterminedbythistestmethodincludetime-to-ignition,verticalflamespreadrateandlateralflamespreadrate.Optionalmeasurementsincludeheatreleaseratesandvisiblesmokedevelopmentrates.1.3Theoptionalheatreleaserateisdeterminedbytheprincipleofoxygenconsumptioncalorimetry,viameasurementoftheoxygenconsumptionasdeterminedbytheoxygenconcentrationandflowrateintheexhaustproductstream(exhaustduct).1.4ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.1.5Thisstandardisusedtomeasureanddescribetheresponseofmaterials,products,orassembliestoheatandflameundercontrolledconditions,butdoesnotbyitselfincorporateallfactorsrequiredforfirehazardorfireriskassessmentofthematerials,products,orassembliesunderactualfireconditions.1.6Firetestingofproductsandmaterialsisinherentlyhazardous,andadequatesafeguardsforpersonnelandpropertyshallbeemployedinconductingthesetests.Thistestmethodmayinvolvehazardousmaterials,operations,andequipment.SpecificinformationabouthazardisgiveninSection.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
